Jon decided at 6 that he was going to be an actor; by 12, he had leading roles in three Shakespeare plays in school productions; and by 16, an agent had recruited him to audition for a Broadway play. His parents prevented him from going to that audition. So thwarted, he pursued a career that ranged over law, politics, and conflict resolution. But his first love would not be denied. Acting took center stage.
